V2Ray client for Android

Keep compatible V2Ray and Xray connection profiles alongside your everyday VPN configurations.

What does the V2Ray client do?

V2Ray is a configurable proxy platform rather than a single VPN protocol. VPN Proto’s V2Ray integration accepts supported share links and configuration text, then uses Android’s VPN interface to route traffic according to that configuration.

What you need

  • An Android phone running Android 7.0 or later.
  • A compatible VLESS, VMess, Trojan or Shadowsocks share link, or a supported full configuration.
  • An active server account and the transport and TLS settings required by that server.

How to set up V2Ray in VPN Proto

  1. Copy one complete share link from a provider or administrator you trust.
  2. Open Profiles → Add profile → Paste link or text.
  3. Paste the link or configuration. VPN Proto displays the detected protocol. Give the profile a recognizable name.
  4. Save the profile and select it on Connect. Tap Connect and approve Android’s VPN request.
  5. Wait for the reachability check. Disconnect before changing to a different profile or protocol.

Use the right configuration. A saved profile is not a server account. Use details supplied for your own connection and keep credentials and private keys private.

If the connection does not work

The pasted link is not recognized

Check that it is a full connection share link and has not been truncated. A subscription URL is a list endpoint, not necessarily a single importable connection. Automatic subscription refresh is not included in this release.

A profile imports but the server does not connect

Check its transport, TLS server name, path and account details. Import support does not guarantee compatibility with every server feature or every Xray extension. Ask for a configuration supported by your installed build.

I am moving from another client

Keep your existing client and configuration until you have tested the new connection. Do not assume that custom routing rules, subscription behavior or advanced settings transfer automatically.

Good to know before connecting

VPN Proto focuses on bringing different connection types into one app. It does not promise universal compatibility with every V2Ray/Xray feature, provide public proxy servers, or guarantee that a connection will work on every restricted network.

To change a saved profile, open Profiles and use its menu. Disconnect an active connection before editing or switching. The app offers guidance, but server availability and configuration remain the responsibility of the server operator.
